A graduate of City’s acclaimed Youth Academy, Logan rose to prominence in 2005/06 with some fine displays during the under 18s run to the FA Youth Cup final.
The following season was ruined by a serious leg injury, but he battled back to full fitness and caught the eye of then boss Sven-Goran Eriksson enough to be called up for the pre-season visit to Sweden.
He impressed on the tour and a fine start to the 2007/08 season was concluded by him signing a three-year contract. Just a day later he made his first team debut in the Carling Cup win over Bristol City.
Logan, a right back, followed this up with another Carling Cup appearance against Norwich before moving to Grimsby Town on loan for a month.
Later he was sent on loan again this time stepping up two divisions to the Championship with Scunthorpe United.
He returned to City early in December 2007, before being loaned again two months later to neighbours Stockport County. His progression continued until he was given a Premier League debut by Mark Hughes against Portsmouth at Fratton Park in February 2009.
Shaleum put pen to paper on a new one-year contract extension in July 2009 before going to Tranmere Rovers on a season-long loan.
