What's going on with the dude? No feelings with Mancini? Nostalgia? Something else we're not supposed to know?

He's our star, it would be horrible to see him go in such an important campaign

Carlos Tevez insists he alone is responsible for deciding he wants to leave Manchester City.

The Blues striker has had his transfer request turned down, but after admitting on Sunday night that his relationship with senior members of the City hierarchy had broken down "beyond repair" it is hard to see how Tevez has any future at Eastlands.

City have been quick to blame an extraordinary 24 hours on Tevez's long-time advisor Kia Joorabchian given they had been under the impression their star man wanted a lucrative new contract extension. But Tevez is adamant he is big enough to make his own decisions.

"I hugely resent the management's suggestions that I have been unduly influenced by others," said Tevez. "It was my decision and mine alone. I wanted to leave in the summer, but was convinced to return to the club. Sadly, my feelings have not changed.

"I am disappointed that the management should now see fit to try to portray the situation in another light. My relationship with certain executives and individuals at the club has broken down and is now beyond repair.

"I do not wish to expand on this at this stage. They know, because I have told them."

Manchester City and Carlos Tevez have become embroiled in tit-for-tat threats to reveal who said what over the possibility of the South American extending his stay at Eastlands.

Amid the fall-out from revelations that Tevez had asked to leave City, it was claimed in a club statement that it is not their policy to conduct contract negotiations during the middle of a season.

However, as an increasingly bitter feud escalates, the Tevez camp have responded by claiming to have proof City were doing just that via an e-mail offer of a revised contract which was sent at the beginning of October.

City have said that talks had taken place, but over peripheral issues such as image rights, rather than a contract itself.

Blues officials are adamant Tevez's long-time advisor Kia Joorabchian is the major problem, given the downturn in his own relationship with the club.

They point to a succession of different reasons that have been put forward for Tevez's discontent as evidence of a shifting position from the South American.

Yet even they accept the bond between Joorabchian and Tevez is so strong it will not be broken, which makes their decision to single out the Iranian for personal criticism strange given it only increases the likelihood of them losing their skipper.

Tevez is due back to training on Tuesday after being given an extra day off by Mancini.

Given the deterioration in his relationship with the club, it was questioned whether the 26-year-old would actually turn up. However, it is understood he will be at Carrington as City begin preparations for Thursday's Europa League trip to Juventus.

Whether Tevez is on board the flight to Turin is another matter.

I guess he will behave as the great football player he is, with the same professionalism.
For what I've read during all the time he's been here.... he misses Argentina and his family. If that's the real reason no regrets, man, I can perfectly understand it (well, not perfectly, but mainly it's comprehensible)... but I don't want to see you in any other European football club, because if you did that I would be totally disappointed...

His representative, Kia Joorabchian, has claimed the forward is now prepared to stay as he is ready to bring his family over to Manchester from South America.
"I don't think speculation about Carlos leaving is fair at the moment," Joorabchian told the Daily Star Sunday. "I don't think money is a consideration.

"Maybe it's a case of his family coming over to him. That's something he's trying to sort out. I'm sure in the next week he will sort the family issue out.
"Once he does, he will announce it and everyone will be in a better place."

so here we're back at it again.

Carlos Tevez will not leave Manchester City unless another club can match the Blues' valuation of him, understood to be around ?50million.
City officials have responded to Tevez's latest attempt to sever ties with the club with a resigned shrug, though, relaxed in the knowledge that the former Manchester United star has three years remaining on a contract that is estimated to be worth in excess of ?200,000 a week.
It means they have no reason to allow him to leave on the cheap, and have absolutely no intention of doing so

Sky Sports has today revealed Juventus have lodged a sensational £45m bid to offer Manchester City skipper, Carlos Tevez away out of the Etihad Stadium and will hope to tempt the hit man to stay in Europe.

The news has emerged not from either club, but from Corinthians president Andres Sanchez, whom has seen his £35m offer for Tevez rejected, but has insisted the offer stands and will not be upped as he indicated he is confident the Argentine powerhouse would favour a move to South America.

?They have a proposal for ?52million (£45million) from Juventus, but Tevez does not want to stay in Europe. He also added, he has until early next year to decide.?

Manchester City will sell Carlos Tevez to Corinthians if the Brazilian club make an improved offer above the £39m they lodged on Friday, with the hierarchy at Eastlands prepared to countenance a price below their stated valuation of £50m because he would be playing outside Europe.

City are also mindful to take a compassionate view of the 27-year-old's desire to move back to South America to be near his family. It is thought that if a further £3-5m was offered, the City captain would be allowed to leave.
