Manchester City close in on Gago

Manchester City will use the last days of the market to make its final bid for Fernando Gago. The English club will try for the player next week, probably on Wednesday, August 31 the deadline for summer signings in the market, with the goal being that Real Madrid will be more open to selling.

In the last few hours there have been ongoing communications between the two clubs, proposing new transfer scenarios that have had no clear result because, among other things, Real Madrid refuse to give to loan out the Argentine.

Real Madrid will consider an amount close to 10 million euros, but City do not want to pay more than 5 million euros. Negotiations are likely to continue into the final six days of the window.

Meanwhile, in Italy it was claimed yesterday that Roma is another club that wants to sign Fernando Gago but via loan, something which Real Madrid will not accept. They also say that the player would prefer to live in Rome rather than Manchester.
