Johnson on Chelsea radars

Chelsea are keen on bringing Manchester City winger Adam Johnson to Stamford Bridge, according to talkSPORT.

Andre Villas-Boas, who is close to making his first official Chelsea signing in the form of Oriol Romeu from Barcelona, is targeting 24-year-old Johnson as an ideal replacement for the ageing Florent Malouda.

Johnson was widely as accepted as a clever signing by Manchester City in January 2010 but the former Middlesbrough man only started 16 Premier League games last term and may consider his future at Eastlands.

Meanwhile, Manchester City are believed to be edging closer to a £40m deal for Atletico Madrid forward Sergio Aguero.
