EDIN DZEKO is dreaming of finishing as the Premier League's top scorer — but fears being axed at ANY time.

The Bosnian striker is on a high after scoring six goals in Manchester City's opening three league games of the season.

That tally included a brilliant four-goal haul in Sunday's 5-1 hammering of Tottenham at White Hart Lane, plus strikes against Swansea and Bolton.

But Dzeko, who suffered a nightmare start in England following his £27million move from Wolfsburg in January, is living in fear of being dropped due to the club's star-studded array of attacking options.

Argentina hitman Carlos Tevez watched from the substitutes' bench at Spurs and Dzeko, 25, revealed: "No one is guaranteed a start.

"That is why we are strong because we do not have only 11 good players. There are 22 — or even more.

"Of course, it's been an amazing start for me. Every striker is there to score goals.

"Every striker also dreams about the Golden Boot but my first priority is the team and I'll try to win every game. After that, if I am first, we will see.

"Against Spurs, we showed how well we can play. People only speak about how much City spend. Of course, we have spent — but other teams have as well.

"Yet when you play football like that it is amazing and everyone wants to play for the team.

"I am grateful to the manager, Roberto Mancini, for being patient. I think that is the most important thing, for the coach and players around you to believe in you.
