Manchester City are interested in signing Stefan Savic for £7 million, according to The News of the World.
The Partizan defender and Montenegrin international has apparently been a target for City manager Roberto Mancini since last season, as he looks for a long-term partner for Vincent Kompany.
The 20-year-old had a trial with Arsenal 18 months ago, but he did not do enough to convince Arsene Wenger to make the deal permanent.
Now, Mancini is reportedly looking to Savic to strengthen his central defence as it is unclear whether Kolo Toure’s drugs ban will be extended beyond September.
Savic can play at centre-back or at right-back, and has been capped six times by the Montenegro national team
