Blues reveal Joe Hart loan deal

Brum boss Alex McLeish hoped to buy in-form Hart but City want to hold on to the 22-year-old England stopper.

Birmingham vice-chairman Peter Pannu said: "Manchester City very politely rejected our approach to them to purchase him.

"They have said they will let him stay here for another season on loan unless anything changes, but he is not for sale.

"They appreciate the way Alex has built him up, he has a very strong reputation in England.

"That will give us priority on the loan deal. That's the position."
