Bellamy's situation (#869) on 18-06-2011 at 13:42:09
New Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay admits Craig Bellamy has the 'X factor', but has yet to decide if he will try to bring the striker back to the club.
Bellamy spent last season on loan at Cardiff from Manchester City and scored 11 goals as the Welsh side missed out on promotion from the Championship.
The 31-year-old is still under contract back at Eastlands, but is not expected to be part of Roberto Mancini's plans in the Premier League next season.

He has been linked with a return to the Cardiff City Stadium and Mackay is not ruling out an attempt to re-sign the Wales international.
However, having only just replaced Dave Jones as manager, Mackay is reluctant to go into detail about his transfer plans for next term.

"Craig is a player I have kept in touch with as we played together at Norwich, so he is someone I know very well," said Mackay.
"He did well for this football club last year and we all know he is someone affected by Cardiff City - he is a local boy.
"He is someone who, in this division, is an X-factor player.

"But Craig is contracted to Manchester City so it would be wrong of me to talk too much about him."
Bluebirds chief executive Gethin Jenkins added: "When the time is right - Craig is away at the minute - then we will sit down like we did last year and have the appropriate conversation with Craig and City."

Craig Bellamy expects to "do very little" at Manchester City this season after admitting he and Roberto Mancini have not spoken for 18 months.
Bellamy, who has a year remaining on his City contract, spent last season on loan at hometown club Cardiff but does not want another loan move, preferring a permanent move away from Eastlands.
He continued in the Daily Telegraph: "If they pay me the final year of my wages, then I'm sure I can go wherever I want. In that case my first option would be Cardiff."

Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley is remaining optimistic that his Wales international team-mate Craig Bellamy will join him at Parkhead.
Bellamy enjoyed a loan spell with the Bhoys six years ago and Celtic boss Neil Lennon has confirmed his interest in signing the Manchester City striker.
